A good pair of shorts.

i think it’s clear that they look better in the picture than in real life. Things I like: thick material, and the color of the tan.
Things that could be better: the desert camo color is a bit weak. The weird zipper hem for no zipper can go. The liner should just be black.

Great shorts

Great shorts. The back phone pocket is the best feature, material is light but heavy duty and the brief liner is comfortable. I would recommend maybe sizing down one size - these seem to be made for guys with huge legs….. unfortunately mine aren’t that big!

Great shorts, but not necessarily for running

First, I have to say that these are very well-constructed shorts. I'm a distance runner and i'm in a stage where I'm searching for the ideal pair of running shorts for me -- I need to buy a bunch.

These arrived quickly and for a reasonable price. The pockets are great and in the right places. I'm not necessarily a "camo" guy but although the panels were a bit more prominent than I was expecting, don't mind them too much. Lately I find myself in between size M and size L for shorts, but these felt like a pretty roomy large -- might have been better off with an M for me.

As far as running shorts go, though, the fabric is pretty thick/heavy for running shorts. I went for a run on a semi-humid day, and admittedly I sweat a lot. That's one reason I was interested in these -- the brief-style liners to me are WAY better for running, and sometime in the last couple of years, someone has decided that ALL running shorts have to have a boxer-brief/compression liner. These don't, which is great.

So my only issue is really the fabric. It's a bit heavy to begin with, so when you are running there's a fair amount of that nylon swishing as the fabric rubs against itself. And once I was several miles in and the fabric was wet, it didn't seem to be wicking very well and got quite heavy. On a longer run, I'd imagine there might be some possibility of significant chafing as a result.

Still, I liked these. I guess I'd call them active amphibious short, but not necessarily running shorts. If you don't sweat much, your results may vary.

Awesome shorts!

Aw man, these are super-comfortable shorts and stretch extremely well when doing leg exercises or running. The length is perfect, and I love the phone pocket.
